Picture "wide open" (2025)
For me, the creative process of painting is always a journey into the unknown. I have a vague idea of the path in advance, but the concrete destination only emerges at the end of the process. In a series of several paintings, I wanted to find out more about the light in "wide open" and juxtaposed pastel color zones with white color areas. I repeated this process in several layers to achieve depth and intensify the interaction of white and pastel tones. Again and again I rearranged the shapes and colors until the desired exciting yet harmonious order was achieved. The painting appears open and friendly and stimulates the viewer's imagination. The abstract style of painting leaves room for thoughts and dreams, both as a whole and in every detail.
