Detailed description

Picture "Essence of the forest" (2024)

This abstract painting evokes the lively atmosphere of a forest. Dominant shades of green and blue represent the interplay of light, foliage and sky, while dark accents hint at the depth of the forest. The gentle, irregular transitions and the light pink and white nuances are reminiscent of rays of sunlight penetrating through the canopy of leaves and suggesting delicate blossoms or forest clearings. The picture radiates a harmonious, calming energy and invites you to experience the beauty and tranquillity of nature in an abstract way.

About Ilona Schmidt

Since 2007 I have devoted myself to free artistic studies, with a focus on painting and sculpture.
My works have been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and have been nominated and awarded several times. I have been a member of the Professional Association for Fine Artists since 2013. In my paintings and sculptures I try to capture the complexity of the human being. By using different techniques and materials, I create works that appeal to the emotions and thoughts of the viewer and stimulate reflection. My artistic work is characterized by a deep engagement with people and their environment. I explore the relationships between the individual and society, between body and mind, between past and present. My aim is to use my art to build a bridge between the viewer and the subject matter depicted. I want to arouse emotions, raise questions and provide food for thought. Because for me, art is not only an expression of my own thoughts and feelings, but also a medium for making contact with other people and inspiring them.
