Christoph M. Schlemmer
Color means emotion.
Often a little more abstract, as in my cathedral paintings.
Often a little more abstract, as in my cathedral paintings.
Or a little more concrete, as in my pictures of trees.
I want you to be directly addressed by one of my paintings.
That you discover something special for you in it (which someone else may perceive quite differently).
That something is triggered in you and resonates with my painting.
I studied art education at the LMU Munich with Prof. Daucher and Prof. Kehr and have been working as an art teacher since 1997. Hannes Strauch had a strong artistic influence on me back then with his idea of a gestural painting style and rather abstract forms.
Over the years, I have never given up my own art and have continued to pursue it in further education, e.g. by drawing plants in the botanical garden or animals in Hellabrunn.
I received a strong creative impulse from Jasumin Lermer's one-week course "Drawing and Painting Trees" at Lake Starnberg, which I attended several times and from which I developed my tree series.
I have been able to do this in particular because I have had a studio for over a year, which I use intensively and have embarked on my artistic journey.

The color has me! (Paul Klee)
